We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our amazing team in Edinburgh. Location: EH10 5EG Salary: £15.60 per hour Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, between the hours of 7am to 4pm, with occasional weekends, flexibility is a must Your key responsibilities will include: Documenting each morning what the Head Chefs or site manager require before they prepare the day’s dishes Cleaning and organising the food preparation area for the Head Chef Ordering and receiving orders when required Ensuring the all the kitchen team prepare the dishes according to the site specifications and standards Managing around 10 to 12 members of chefs and kitchen assistants Covers around up to 1000 pupils and staff a day Training new and current team on the restaurant’s standards and regulations Make sure kitchen is ready for any external and internal auditors Addressing any complaints quickly and report it back. Monitoring the kitchen area and the staff to ensure sanitation standards are maintained. Ensuring/checking all food products are not expired, checking daily dates and comply with food standard agency Covering the head chef on his absence To communicate with the relevant parties requirements for planned menus and order necessary ingredients Our ideal Sous Chef will: Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service Be from restaurant but contact catering experience highly desirable Have experience supervising a team Have experience in a similar Chef role Hold a Food Hygiene certificate Have a flexible approach to working What's in it for you?
