Overview
Landmarc Support Services is seeking a motivated Facilities Team Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead a group of operatives dedicated to the upkeep and maintenance of the Training Estate facilities. Typical tasks will include cleaning accommodation blocks, and maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.
We are looking for someone with experience working in a Facilities Management industry or leading a high-performing team in a similar environment.
Shifts and Contract
Shifts run between: 07:00 - 22:30 from Monday to Sunday.
Hours of work: 37 per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Castlelaw Ranges, Easter Howgate, Penicuik, Scotland, EH26 0PB
Main Responsibilities
* Lead team members in duties and performance
* Play an active role – a good deal of your time will be split between working alongside your team as well as supporting the Site supervisor with the administration of the site.
* Undertake/oversee, daily cleaning duties within facilities blocks ensuring relevant paperwork is updated
* Oversee stock levels, ensuring materials and supplies are managed efficiently
* Carry out ground maintenance tasks
* Operate and maintain plant machinery and equipment
* Conduct general estate maintenance tasks
* Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety regulations & company policy.
* Complete all necessary documentation using both IT and paper-based systems
* Perform additional tasks as needed to support the overall success of the team under the guidance of the Site Supervisor
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience of soft facilities management services
* General experience in housekeeping, building and grounds maintenance
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels
* IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and database management
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety protocols, including COSHH, manual handling, and risk assessments
* Experience operating plant machinery (desirable)
* A proactive approach to learning and personal development
* Proven ability to organise, prioritise and plan workload
* Flexibility to work in an ever-changing work environment.
* A valid UK manual driving licence is essential for this role
