Job Description
The main duties are as follows:
1. Teaching: Teaching assigned classes, including associated preparation and correction.
2. Curriculum Development: Developing the school curriculum.
3. Assessment and Reporting: Assessing, recording, and reporting the work of pupils.
4. Examinations: Preparing pupils for examinations and assisting with their administration.
5. Guidance: Providing advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education.
6. Health and Safety: Promoting and safeguarding the health, welfare, and safety of pupils.
7. Partnerships: Working in partnership with parents, support staff, and other professionals.
8. Professional Development: Undertaking appropriate and agreed Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
9. School Planning: Participating in issues related to school planning, raising achievement, and individual review.
10. School Community: Contributing towards good order and addressing the wider needs of the school.
The Individual
Applications will also be considered from applicants who are provisionally registered and able to take up unpromoted permanent positions on a temporary basis. Full-time posts would also be suitable for applicants wishing to apply on a job-share or part-time basis if appropriate.
