Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join our agency team, supporting a reputable nursery in the Cwmbran area. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early years education and confident working within a busy, supportive nursery environment, using their knowledge of childcare practices and early years curriculum planning to deliver high-quality care and education.
Key Responsibilities
5. Support children’s learning and development in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities that encourage growth and exploration.
6. Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and thrive.
7. Assist with day-to-day nursery routines, including mealtimes, outdoor activities, personal care, and rest periods, ensuring children’s individual needs are met.
8. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and a collaborative approach.
9. Promote children’s wellbeing, confidence, and independence through nurturing care and meaningful interactions.
10. Follow safeguarding procedures at all times, ensuring the welfare and safety of children remains a top priority.
11. Adhere to nursery policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of professional practice.
Required Skills & Experience
12. Level 3 Early Years qualification ( Diploma in Childcare and Education or Certificate in Early Years Practice)
13. Minimum 6 months UK early years experience
14. Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and its practical application
