Role Overview: Dental Nurse
Provide efficient and reliable chair-side support to Practice Clinicians. The daily responsibilities of a dental nurse include:
* Reception duties, including answering phones and greeting patients
* Handling patient queries
* Processing payments
* Booking appointments and follow-ups
* Sterilising and preparing equipment for dentists
* Managing patient records
* Supporting patient wellbeing and enhancing their dental experience
* Cleaning dental areas, including chairs
* Managing stock of equipment and supplies
Additional duties may include supporting dentists and senior team members to provide effective patient care.
Qualifications and Working Hours
* This role is supported by a Level 3 advanced apprenticeship in Dental Nursing, accredited by City & Guilds, delivered nationwide through blended e-learning accessible from anywhere in the UK.
* Upon completion, you will receive a Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3, recognized by the General Dental Council for registration as a dental nurse.
* Functional Skills in English and Maths Level 2 are required unless exemptions apply.
Working hours are within the practice's opening times, which are:
* Monday: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
* Tuesday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
* Wednesday: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
* Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
* Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
* Saturday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
* Sunday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
