Electrician (Level 3)

You'll be joining a specialist estates and maintenance team responsible for delivering safe, compliant, and reliable electrical services across a secure site in Woodbridge.
Your new role
As a Level 3 Electrician, you will carry out a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs, testing, and installation work across the estate. Working to statutory regulations and site procedures, you'll ensure all electrical systems remain safe, functional, and fully compliant.You'll also support with inspections (including at height or in confined spaces), supervise prisoners during work activities when required, and maintain accurate records through the CAFM system.
Key responsibilities
Deliver electrical installations, testing, commissioning, and repairs.
Complete planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive tasks.
Prioritise workload and escalate issues when necessary.
Carry out survey inspections and maintain all associated logs.
Manage materials and request stock as required.
Escort and monitor external contractors in line with security procedures.
Maintain radio communication as per local security protocols.
Operate estate vehicles or plant equipment if qualified.
Support emergency and urgent tasks as they arise.
Contribute to safe working practices, tool control, and compliance.
Build strong working relationships and uphold a high standard of customer service.
Undertake Fire Warden or First Aider duties if appointed.
Carry out locking duties when required.What you'll need to succeed
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services (or equivalent)
BS7671 18th Edition
Minimum of 2 years' experience as an electricianDesirable:
Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems
Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance
Legionella L8 awareness (training available)
