The Role
As our Financial Controller, you will participate in all aspects of the controller position within Radwell Europe's UK-based Finance & Accounting team, supporting our multi-country operations. Working in a strategic, detail-focused, and collaborative manner, you provide leadership and oversight to ensure the financial health and compliance of our European business.
In addition, you will:
* Work alongside the Director of Finance to develop and execute Radwell Europe’s financial strategy, ensuring financial commitments are met and opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimisation, and operational efficiency are identified.
* Lead all financial operations across Europe including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, oversee month and year-end processing, and manage statutory and tax compliance duties in multiple countries.
* Drive continuous improvement through automation and process enhancements, lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning alongside the Finance Planning and Analyst team, and manage the department’s auditing processes collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
Being proficient in financial management and strategic planning, and with a strong leadership capability, you will bring your previous experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance professional to the position, meaning the in-depth training you receive from us will be bolstered by your own knowledge and experience.
Furthermore, you will have:
· Education to degree level or equivalent in a finance-related field, with professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
· Proven strong, post-qualification experience as a financial controller or similar, preferably within a large, global organisation or private equity environment.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain strict confidentiality.
· Comprehensive knowledge of UK GAAP and preparation of statutory accounts, with month and year-end reporting experience.
· Strong analytical, negotiation, and numeracy skills, including advanced Excel capabilities.
· Demonstrated ability to influence and enhance financial processes across business lines and work effectively with senior stakeholders in a collaborative, partner-style relationship.
· Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up to date with changes in financial regulations and best practices.
Qualifications and desirable criteria such as a postgraduate qualification in a finance-related subject or ILM L4 certification to support leadership development would also be advantageous.
Also if you speak any languages other than English at a fluent level, that would be advantageous to your application; Radwell operates internationally, so any other languages you can speak will always be helpful in this role.
