Scale: Qualified Teachers’ Pay Scale + TLR 2A

Contract: Full time, Permanent
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the visual arts and creative expression, and will be committed to nurturing a love of learning, encouraging independent thought, and demonstrating the power of the Art & Photography curriculum to help students understand and engage with the world around them. Through a rich and engaging curriculum, you will equip students with the creative, technical, and analytical skills that will empower them for life.
As Head of Department, you will provide strong leadership for Art & Photography, driving high standards of teaching and learning, supporting colleagues, and contributing to the wider strategic development of the school.

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* The ability to lead and deliver high-quality Art & Photography lessons in line with the school’s curriculum
* The vision, energy, creativity, and resilience to inspire students and colleagues
* A team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to lead, support, and develop a supportive and dynamic department
* A belief that every child can succeed, and that great teaching and leadership make it possible
