Job Title: Facilities Machine Mechanic
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm
Facility location: Chester, CT
Summary: Performs Maintenance and repairs on facilities equipment general building maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Under minimal supervision, Maintains heating and HVAC and equipment throughout.
* Make sure all buildings are serviced, inspected and all paperwork is filled out.
* Adapts to new procedures, techniques, tools, material and or equipment to meet the more complex requirements of the position.
* Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
* Repair machinery in the facilities.
* Be able to replace carpet and ceiling tile as needed.
* Know of Whelen procedures and policies.
* Run equipment that you are qualified on with care.
* Ability to work under pressure and to meet multiple deadlines while maintaining a cooperative working relationship with employees and supervisor.
* Check all the fleet to ensure cleanliness and fueled.
* Make sure all the fleet equipment is current on oil charges and service.
* Work with the JIRA system to ensure everything is documented.
* Keep inventory of parts for equipment.
* Maintain records on the equipment.

* Has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through a combination of jobrelated training and considerable on-the-job experience.
* Completes assignments daily.
* Proposes improvements to processes.
* Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
Education and Experience
* High School w/5+ years’ experience
Physical demands and abilities
* Able to lift 35 pounds.
* Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
* Able to stand for entire shift.
