We are seeking a Product Data Analyst to join our growing team at an exciting time. If you're a data enthusiast with a strong attention to detail and experience in managing product data, we'd love to meet you!
This role is ideal for someone with a background in data management, especially within retail, e-commerce, or product-centric environments. You'll be helping ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of product data across our Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems. Your work will directly impact how we deliver a seamless experience for our customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Data Maintenance & Quality: Oversee and improve the quality of product data in the PIM and DAM systems to ensure it's accurate, consistent, and complete.
* Data Standards & Processes: Develop and implement data standards, validation rules, and naming conventions to maintain consistency across systems.
* Collaboration: Work closely with commercial teams and suppliers to source missing or improved product information.
* Data Cleansing & Enrichment: Identify gaps, duplicates, or inconsistencies in product data, taking ownership of data cleansing and enrichment activities.
* System Support & Integration: Assist with system upgrades, data migrations, and integration with other platforms, ensuring smooth operations.
* Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and best practices for data management within the team.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Data Management Experience: Proven experience managing product data, ideally in PIM and/or DAM systems.
* Excel Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with structured data formats (CSV, XML, JSON).
* Attention to Detail: A methodical approach to identifying and solving data-related issues with a high degree of accuracy.
* Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse large datasets, identify trends, and resolve data quality issues efficiently.
* E-commerce Experience: Familiarity with product categorisation, data standards, and taxonomy. Experience with ERP, PIM, DAM, or e-commerce platforms is a plus.
Desirable Experience:
* Exposure to SQL, Python, or data transformation tools (e.g., Pentaho, Alteryx).
* Understanding of digital product assets like images, specifications, and marketing materials.
* Knowledge of product classification standards such as ETIM, GS1, or similar frameworks.
