ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Fostering Rotherham in the role of Fostering Team Manager – Recruitment & Assessment. You will be working closely with the wider fostering service, and our partners, to effectively manage the recruitment of suitable foster carers. This will aid us in delivering an excellent service to children and young people, and work towards placing more children in family-based placements.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative, experienced Social Worker/ Team Manager to manage a team of assessing Social Workers, Fostering Adviser and our Marketing Lead.
This is an exciting time to take the Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Team forward. There are new initiatives in progress to increase the number of approved foster carers and you will be central to reaching our ambition. We want more of Rotherham children to be placed in Rotherham, the community they call home.
This is an amazing opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their professional development or an experienced Team Manager wanting to work within a supportive, developing and forward-thinking Fostering Service.
You will provide support and supervision to the team, work with the wider fostering service and will be able to lead in change within the service, developing systems and links with the fostering community.
Working as an integral member of the management team, you will have a sound knowledge of current fostering legislation, including regulations, guidance and standards. Previous experience in fostering assessment work is essential.
