We are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a well‑established UK manufacturing business based in Widnes. This role is ideal for a hands‑on engineer with strong multi‑discipline skills, ideally with an electrical background, who enjoys working in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production equipment
* Responding quickly to breakdowns and carrying out fault diagnosis and repair
* Supporting installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
* Working across electrical and mechanical systems
* Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
* Identifying opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and safety
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
* Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety procedures
Requirements
* Proven experience working as a Site Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or similar role
* Multi‑skilled engineering background (electrical bias preferred)
* Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
* Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
* Ability to work independently xlqdzyr and as part of a team
* Good understanding of health and safety standards
* A proactive and reliable approach to maintenance and problem solving
Desirable (but not essential)
* Electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
* Experience working with production machinery or manufacturing lines
* PLC fault‑finding experience
* Knowledge of continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principles
