Responsibilities:
* Work with clients in their homes to provide personal care
* Assist with daily living activities, such as grooming, dressing and bathing
* Provide respite care
* Plan and prepare meals and light household duties
* Help with mobility and transfers
* Monitor and maintain household safety

Qualifications:
* Continuing Care Assistant Certification (CCA)
* PSW, HSW, or other relevant certification or work experience (enrolled in or eligible for the Nova Scotia CCA RPL Program)
* Students in nursing, CCA programs, and internationally educated nurses will also be considered
* Current CPR/First Aid required
* A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
* Current and original satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check (Vulnerable Sector Search may be required)
* Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Working Conditions:
This role involves physical activity including lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements emphasizing good body mechanics. You will walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
