Accounts Assistant – Accountancy Practice

Shrewsbury | Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours

What You’ll Be Doing
Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and management accounts
Bookkeeping and processing financial records for a range of clients
Preparing and submitting VAT returns, ensuring deadlines are met
Supporting compliance work and maintaining accurate financial records
Liaising with clients and colleagues to deliver work accurately and on time
Working closely with Managers and Directors on ad hoc projects
Supporting junior team members when required
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant within an accountancy practice (essential)
AAT qualified or studying towards AAT (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT and accounts preparation
Well organised, detail-focused and confident managing multiple deadlines
A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
Ambitious and keen to build a long-term career in accountancy
