Senior Pharmacy Assistant - Clinical Trials
The Clinical Trials Pharmacy Department at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust seeks a dependable, enthusiastic, and motivated pharmacy assistant to support a high‑quality, efficient patient‑focused service. The role involves a mix of clerical/administrative tasks and dispensing duties to keep the clinical trials dispensary running smoothly under the supervision of Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists.
Responsibilities
* Assist in dispensing investigational medicinal products to wards and departments.
* Provide clerical and administrative support to the Clinical Trials Pharmacy Team.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with pharmacy protocols and safety standards.
* Collaborate with team members and participate in in‑house training programmes to develop skills.
Qualifications
* A Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills.
* Experience working in a pharmacy dispensary.
* Four GCSEs, including Maths, English and a Science subject.
* Strong work ethic, excellent IT and organisational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
* Willingness to learn and undertake further training; prior hospital pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential.
