We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team and help transform learning into a journey every child can access and enjoy.
About the Role
As a SEN Specialist TA, you\'ll work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to provide tailored support for pupils with a wide range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges.
This is a role for someone who thrives on variety and sees potential in every child.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one or small group support, adapting strategies to suit individual needs
* Help implement and review EHCP targets in collaboration with the SEN team
* Foster independence, self-esteem, and emotional regulation in pupils
* Support learning across the curriculum, with a focus on removing barriers to progress
* Liaise effectively with staff, parents, and specialists to ensure joined-up support
About You
* Experienced in working with children with special educational needs (essential)
* Calm, patient, and flexible in approach
* Knowledgeable about inclusive teaching strategies and behaviour support techniques
* Able to build trusting relationships with pupils who may face complex challenges
* A proactive team player with a positive, can-do attitude
Desirable
* Relevant experience - personal or professional!
* Experience with Makaton, PECs, sensory circuits, or Thrive/Nurture approaches

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
