CIS Security are looking for a diligent Security Concierge to support the front of house operation and provide a reassuring security presence. As the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees, you will deliver outstanding customer service, manage the visitor journey, and uphold site security procedures (access control, monitoring and incident response). The role requires confidence engaging with client personnel and VIP visitors, as well as the ability to act calmly, professionally, and decisively when issues arise. Information: Position: Security Concierge / Front of House Team Contract: Temporary 9-12-month contract Location: Winchester (SO23) Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour Hours: 60 hours per week Shifts: Days - Monday to Fridays (Weekends/Evenings if and when required) Job Requirements: Valid SIA Licence Experience within the corporate security sector is ideal Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service alongside professional security standards in a corporate environment. Good IT skills with the ability to learn and use access control, visitor management and CCTV systems (site systems may vary) Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write professional emails and handle enquiries appropriately. Able to work as part of a team and independently, using initiative and good judgment. Calm under pressure and confident handling challenging situations in a professional, customer-focused manner. Physically fit to complete internal/external patrols and able to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts. Confident producing clear, accurate incident reports, logs and handover notes. Always presents a friendly, professional and courteous demeanour, using appropriate body language and communication. Ensures all visitors and staff are supported efficiently, aiming to meet (and where possible exceed) service expectations while maintaining security standards. Able to remain in control during busy periods and incidents, communicating clearly with colleagues, management and client stakeholders. Understands escalation procedures and can disseminate information in a timely manner to the correct personnel during an incident or emergency. Maintains a smart, professional appearance befitting a corporate front-of-house environment. Willing and able to carry out the full range of site-specific duties as required by the assignment instructions. Able to provide all required documentation and vetting information requested for the role. Key Responsibilities: Front of House & Concierge Duties: Provide a professional meet-and-greet service, creating a positive first impression for all visitors, clients and colleagues. Answer, screen and route telephone calls and enquiries promptly and professionally. Coordinate visitor arrivals (appointments, host notification, directions) and support meeting room / front-of-house requirements where applicable. Access Control, Visitor Management & VIP Handling: Carry out initial screening: verify identity/credentials of employees, visitors and contractors in line with site procedures. Issue visitor passes/badges and maintain accurate visitor logs (sign in/out), ensuring data is recorded correctly. Control access points and prevent unauthorised entry or tailgating, escalating concerns appropriately. Deliver a discreet, high-touch service for VIP visitors, including clear guidance, host liaison and (where required) arranging escorts in line with protocol. Security Monitoring: Monitor CCTV, access control and alarm systems, carrying out routine checks to support the safety and security of the premises. Identify and report suspicious activity, security breaches or safety concerns, following site escalation procedures and preserving evidence where required. Incident Response: Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies and alarms, remaining calm and professional while supporting occupants and visitors. Coordinate with site teams and emergency services as needed, supporting evacuations and implementing emergency procedures in line with training. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records including visitor logs, incident reports, shift handovers and any concierge/service requests. Produce clear, timely reports and updates for supervisors/client contacts, ensuring information is factual and appropriately detailed. Customer Service and Client Relations: Deliver consistently excellent customer service, anticipating needs and resolving queries efficiently. Provide information and assistance regarding the building, facilities, local area and approved services, acting as a helpful point of contact. Build positive working relationships with client stakeholders and occupants, representing the site professionally at all times. Policy and Procedure Enforcement: Uphold site security, safety and confidentiality policies, ensuring a safe environment for employees, visitors and contractors. Apply rules fairly and communicate expectations clearly, using good judgment and escalating when required. Coordination and Communication: Work closely with client teams (reception, facilities, operations) and security colleagues to deliver a seamless front-of-house and security service. Maintain clear communication, accurate handovers and timely escalation during incidents, patrols and day-to-day operations.
