The Opportunity:
Capital Dynamics is seeking students with excellent quantitative, qualitative, and interpersonal skills to join our Summer Internship program in our London office. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work for one of the following teams: Clean Energy, Private Equity - Co-Investment, Private Equity - Secondaries.
Private Equity:
The Capital Dynamics summer program offers intellectually curious students a unique opportunity to achieve a valuable learning experience working across the private equity/asset industry.
The Private Equity Intern Analysts will gain exposure to a wide array of industries and capital structures and become accustomed to a variety of private equity funds and investment strategies.
You will work in a team environment to target and perform due diligence, including financial modelling and preparation of investment memoranda, on opportunities across the Private Equity team’s - co-investment transactions and secondaries transactions.
Clean Energy:
The Clean Energy team makes direct equity investments in carbon-reducing renewable energy power generation from late-stage development to commercial operations. The intern will have the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of the clean energy sector while working with the team to shadow and support live transactions.

We are seeking candidates with a strong academic background, outstanding quantitative and writing skills, along with a positive, team-oriented attitude to contribute effectively to our dynamic environment.
Tasks and responsibilities:
* Gain a broad understanding of the private equity or clean energy sector and the relevant value drivers.
* Work with the relevant deal team to shadow and support live transactions.
* Assist with the preparation of Financial Models – an in-depth knowledge of financial modelling to calculate project returns.
* Input into the Financial Analysis Sections of Investment papers to provide the investment committee with information related to the financial performance of projects.
* Provide support through the due diligence process during acquisitions.
* Work on market analysis and research to support the Team’s investments.
* Perform valuation analysis using comparable companies analysis, precedent comps analysis.
Education and Qualification:
* Undergraduate (2nd to 4th year) or recent MBA graduate.
* Have a keen interest in asset management / private equity.
* Demonstrable analytical capabilities, including strong quantitative / modeling skills.
* Exceptional proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
* Strong organizational, project management skills, and the ability to work well with others and operate in an entrepreneurial environment.
* Exceptional attention to detail and ability to proofread own work and the work of others.
* Ability to work under tight timeframes and manage strict deadlines.
Languages:
* Must be fluent in English and display superior writing skills.
* Proficiency in other languages - German, Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese, or South Korean is highly advantageous, though not essential.
