Role Overview
As a Kitchen Porter, you will play an essential role in the smooth running of our kitchen. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, washing dishes, and assisting chefs with basic food preparation. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a professional kitchen environment and gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and equipment.
* Wash and store dishes, pots, pans, and utensils efficiently.
* Ensure waste disposal and recycling procedures are followed correctly.
* Assist chefs with basic food preparation as required.
* Receive and store deliveries in accordance with food safety regulations.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
* Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Requirements
* No prior experience necessary, but previous kitchen experience is a plus.
* A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Good teamwork and communication skills.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (training provided).
