We are currently recruiting for a Scientific Assistant II to join the Quality Control (QC) team. In this role, you will provide essential laboratory activities and services to support the QC department, playing a key part in advancing our mission and making a real difference.
Your responsibilities in this role would be:
The monitoring and controlling of temperature units within highly regulated laboratories.
To liaise and work with Equipment Engineering team and external engineers to organize equipment servicing and equipment repair
Provide support for equipment maintenance including equipment files and service contracts,
To calibrate key analytical equipment as per calibration schedules
To raise quality records including deviation, CAPA and change control
To clean and maintain the laboratory equipment and facilities.
To operate an autoclave and dispose of waste materials.
To lead the ASG pipette clinic including liaising with calibration team and troubleshooting .
Oversee, maintain, and ensure quality of key stock consumables.
Profile description:
We are looking for:
Educated to a minimum of GCSE or equivalent qualification level or able to demonstrate required skills gained within another workplace.
Experience of maintaining aseptic technique & tissue culturing skills
Knowledge of equipment & instrument calibration
Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Highly organised and motivated with excellent attention to detail.
Knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel & Outlook.
