Job Description for Bookkeeper:Our client has the opportunity for a bookkeeper to join their team in a beautiful rural area of Redditch. This is a standalone position so previous experience within SME as a bookkeeper, accounts assistant or senior accounts assistant is essential. The role is office-based Monday-Friday 38.5 hours per week with a salary of GBP27-33,000 depending on experience. Must have own transport for this position due to the location of the role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Credit control, via invoicing, monthly statements & chasing overdue invoices
* Balance sheet reconciliations to include bank accounts.
* Preparation of VAT Returns for review
* Process customer invoicing & creditor payments
* Assist in the overall preparation & presentation of quarterly & annual accounts
* Check customer ID and contracts
* Process card payments
* Payment allocation on Sage
* Resolve customer queries on telephone & email
* Support the Account Manager as required
KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES
* Strong Organiser & Multi-Tasker
* Problem solving and 'can do' approach
* Attention to detail - meticulous, thorough, and right first-time mentality
* Knowledge of Sage 50 is advantageous.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently.
