Our client, a fast-growing and independent security systems provider, is looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to join their Security Division. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in expanding the company’s presence across the Midlands, offering tailored security solutions to both new and existing clients. Key Responsibilities * Generate, develop, and manage new and existing business opportunities in the security systems sector. * Promote and sell the full range of security products and services, including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and integrated systems. * Build a strong sales pipeline through networking, cold outreach, client visits, and attendance at industry events. * Stay up to date with industry trends, security regulations, competitor activity, and emerging technologies. * Achieve and exceed sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. * Develop and present professional sales proposals tailored to client needs. * Negotiate contract terms and pricing to close deals effectively. * Coordinate with internal project and engineering teams to ensure. seamless delivery. * Foster long-term relationships with clients by offering expert advice and support. * Provide ongoing account management to maximise satisfaction and retention. * Act quickly and professionally to resolve any client concerns or issues. * Demonstrate a sound understanding of modern and legacy security systems and standards. * Clearly communicate technical features and benefits to help clients make informed choices. * Accurately maintain records of all sales activity, client communications, and contract details using CRM software. Experience: * 3–5 years of successful B2B field sales experience, ideally within the security systems industry. * Candidates with strong sales experience from other technical industries will also be considered. * Proven ability to build rapport and close sales. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Comfortable discussing technical systems and solutions with clients. * Strong organisational and time management abilities. * Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office. * Self-driven, target-focused, and proactive. * Primarily field-based role with periodic travel to the Derby head office. * Some flexibility required to accommodate client schedules.
