As the Finance manager you will provide financial governance, support, and advice to enable strong reporting and accuracy of financial information for the Operating Unit. The role will support the growing Defence portfolio and wider Operating Unit requirements.
What you’ll do:
1. Application of commercial understanding and project scrutiny to drive profitability
2. Timely production of accurate and insightful monthly management accounts in accordance with Skanska internal and IFRS accounting policies
3. Analyse and manage the OU Balance Sheet and S&A positions
4. Management of the Operating Unit’s results against forecasts and provide project variance analysis for leadership team review
5. Preparation, key support, analysis and coordination of the quarterly forecasting cycle. Support the commercial and operational teams in producing the reporting pack for submission
6. Ensure financial processes/controls are adhered to and to identify/implement improvements in processes and systems as appropriate
7. Review and challenge Project Financials at Forecast & Review meetings, working alongside the Project teams to drive the best performance
8. Build strong relationships with Divisional Director and Projects Commercial Director
9. Manage the interim and year-end audit process working with External Auditors
10. Support year-end statutory and other information to Group Finance
What you’ll bring to the role:
11. ERP system knowledge, Oracle Fusion preferable
12. Accountancy professional qualification – CIMA/ACCA
13. A thorough and up-to-date knowledge of financial and management accounting practices and experience of practical application of this in an ERP environment

This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil these residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and would not be eligible to undertake this role.
