The facilities team ensures that our hubs are maintained to an excellent standard. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our buildings on a planned and reactive basis, including building fabric and M&E. You will manage reactive works via our CAFM Trackplan system, working with colleagues to uphold high standards on site.
You will have an eye for detail and deliver exceptional customer service while role modeling our WATCH principles. As a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure facilities align with Life Leisure’s Purpose and Mission. You will develop your skills to better connect with customers and contractors, delivering services to the community.
Hours: 20 hours per week
Location: Life Leisure Grand Central
Salary: £12.29 per hour

Experience relevant to the role
* Previous experience in a similar role (ideally within leisure)
* Experience with reactive works
* Experience working with external contractors
* Ability to meet deadlines and targets
Education and Qualifications
* Multi-skilled with a basic trade qualification
* Full driving license
Desirable
* Pool Plant Operator Certificate
* First Aid trained
* Basic electrical or trade qualification
* IOSH or relevant safety qualifications
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to use initiative and problem-solve
* Accurate record-keeping via Trackplan system
* Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance
* Understanding of Health and Safety legislation, including HSG179
Job Duties
Facility Management
* Support General Managers to ensure buildings are Health & Safety compliant
* Maintain high customer service standards
* Ensure statutory Health and Safety legislation compliance
* Complete reactive jobs promptly and to high standards
* Assist and liaise with contractors
Security & Maintenance of Building/Equipment
* Ensure equipment is safe and repairs are addressed promptly
* Use PPE at all times
Management of Pool & Plant
* Assist with maintenance of pool plant equipment
