Veterinary Surgeons at Blue Cross are exposed to a wide variety of medical, surgical, and emergency cases, enabling rapid development of skills and confidence in general practice.
Our Grimsby Animal Hospital is state‑of‑the‑art and modern, equipped with extensive onsite facilities to support your work.
Hospital Details
The range of work goes beyond what is offered in first‑opinion private practice, with high‑quality working environment including digital X‑ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy in our purpose‑built hospital.
The shift pattern is mostly Monday‑Friday 9 am‑5 pm, with a dedicated night team. You will also participate in the evening and weekend rota, resulting in about one evening shift a week, covering emergency calls only.
Our team shares knowledge, mentors new vets, and promotes a culture of openness and support.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Member of Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
* Demonstrable small animal or mixed practice experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Other Support
Blue Cross offers a one‑off £2,500 Recruitment & Retention Allowance, paid as £1,250 within the first monthly salary payment and £1,250 upon successful completion of probation.
We may provide visa sponsorship for the right candidate; relocation package is not offered.
