Head of Finance, Global MSS Sales

Finance is integral to HSBC’s purpose and strategy, playing a valued role in managing costs and deploying capital effectively. The candidate will be responsible for linking Finance, Strategy, and the MSS Sales force. The Sales Head of Finance, reporting directly to the MSS CFO, supports the delivery of HSBC’s strategy with a focus on Sales Targets, Market Share, and Coalition rankings. A dynamic working relationship with the Sales front office is essential. Business partnering is required at all levels, from Global/Regional Sales Heads and COOs to individual Salespeople.

In this role you will:
* Act as a trusted Head of Finance and advisor regarding MSS Sales performance globally through insightful analysis and advice to improve revenue, costs, capital, and FTEs.
* Enhance the Sales MI capability by leveraging Omnia and MI360, and drive system integration.
* Develop and deliver the Multi Jurisdiction project to disclose MSS client revenues externally, recognizing our franchise's value.
* Drive collaboration across the Group, working closely with Markets Front Office, CMB, and IWPB management on Synergies initiatives and performance tracking against growth targets.
* Support Sales Teams by providing detailed Sales and Client MI, including revenues, costs, metrics, and key insights across various dimensions.
* Build relationships with MSS Asset Class CFOs and finance management across MSS and CIB, offering finance insights and expertise.
* Coordinate planning and forecasting across global Sales teams and challenge the business to meet medium- and long-term performance targets.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
* Extensive MSS product experience, specifically Markets Sales, with a thorough understanding of Sales & Trading P&L nuances.
* A strategic approach to processes: leading, executing, designing, and analyzing data.
* Knowledge of MSS Primary Trading & Client Reporting systems, particularly CPMI/MI360.
* Experience building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
* Qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent; qualified Corporate Treasurer (ACT) is preferable.
* Experience in finance within a global business area.
* Analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to craft strategic, impactful, and forward-looking commentary.
* Proven experience in motivating, engaging, and managing a team.
