We push boundaries and offer restaurant quality food for events in unique venues across Yorkshire. The role is very hands-on and involves working as part of a team. We require someone to support our Head Chef and manage the day to day running of the kitchen while working within the company guidelines. Room for future development
KEY DETAILS
From £32,000 - £35,000 per annum - depending on experience.
Pay is reviewed yearly
Must Drive
28 Days Holiday a Year (WE DO NOT WORK CHRISTMAS EVE / DAY / BOXING DAY and usually close over Christmas)
Full time / Permanent
40 hours a week over 5 days
Often midweek consists of daytime hours 9 - 5 with one longer day on a Saturday
We work a 4 day week in Off Peak Season (still full pay)
Sunday / Mondays off
Rotas provisionally set for up to 3 months at a time

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

* Ensure all deliveries are checked and put away in the correct places, reporting any substandard or missing produce to the supervisor.
* Preparation of produce & dishes to the company standards.
* Able to manage rota and holiday requests.
* Continually develop culinary knowledge & skills under the supervision of the senior kitchen team.
* Ensure cleanliness of the workstation during all tasks.
* To ensure kitchen cleanliness is maintained to a high standard.
* Understand food ordering, consistency in quantity.
* Understanding of food costs and ensuring these are kept too and logged.
* Reduce waste.
* Assisting the Head Chef with managing the team. Firm but fair attitude
* To observe all security, hygiene, and health & Safety protocols and ensure the team are following these also.
