Offer description

Overview

St Andrew's and St Bride's High School aims to provide an atmosphere of love, care and understanding where the pupils and staff share a truly Christian concern for one another. We are a school which fosters good discipline and a positive ethos where the school works in partnership with the home and the Church. We are proud of the achievements of all our pupils and strive to give every pupil the opportunity to develop talents to the full by offering education of the highest quality.

St Andrew's and St Bride's is part of a Learning Community with six associated primaries:

* St Hilary's
* St Kenneth's
* St Leonard's
* St Louise
* Our Lady of Lourdes
* St Vincent's

We have a purpose-built school building opened in August 2007, with excellent facilities including indoor PE spaces, a large Games Hall and two gymnasiums. The leadership team includes the Headteacher, six Depute Headteachers, 12 Heads of Department/Principal Teachers of Curriculum and 8 Principal Teachers of Guidance.

As a Catholic, Christian inclusive school community, the Gospel values permeate all we do. We aim to provide an inspiring environment, the provision of excellent learning and teaching, and an ethos of hard work. We work in partnership with parents to support pupils and help them thrive, equipping them with the skills for a full and productive life. The leadership and staff value stakeholders' contributions to initiatives, policies and procedures.

We have an active and supportive parent council, and offer opportunities for pupils to participate in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities which contribute to a well-rounded education.

South Lanarkshire Council schools have undergone an £800m+ modernisation programme to improve the provision for all pupils.
