SHIFT QUALITY CONTROL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

We are currently seeking to recruit a highly motived and pro-active individual to join our Quality Department as a Shift Quality Control Laboratory Technician at our West Yorkshire site in Knottingley.
Reporting to the Assistant to Site Quality Manager, the role is responsible for performing quality control checks on all manufactured and packed ware, using established tests and procedures. You will be required to follow and adhere to specific work instructions as well as strict customer specifications, and as such a keen eye for detail is essential to this role. In addition, you should be able to work well under pressure and prioritise your workload effectively, as well being able to communicate effectively at all levels.
Suitable candidates should possess a good level of Maths and English, together with excellent problem-solving skills, and may be required to undertake an aptitude test to demonstrate this.Previous knowledge of working in a quality-based role within the glass manufacturing sector, along with knowledge of working within 24-hour continuous process environment, would be an advantage, however, not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
This is a shift position, working a 5-crew shift pattern (12 hours both days and nights inclusive of six 18-day breaks per annum).
