We’re looking for a Senior Event IT Engineer to deliver first-to-third line support and infrastructure services for Red Bull Powertrains across the Track, Factory, and Race Ops environments during the Formula 1 season.
You’ll play a key role in managing and executing IT support for races, tests, filming days, and events. This includes pre-event preparation, on-site support, sea freight and post-event IT turnaround.
Main responsibilities of the role:
* Deliver and support IT systems for race and test events across RBPT and customer garages, as well as the RBPT Ops Room, ensuring high availability and performance.
* Provide hands-on end-user support, resolve incidents efficiently, and maintain high-quality documentation and user guides.
* Lead and contribute to IT projects related to trackside and Ops Room environments, including security control implementation.
* Coordinate logistics for air and sea freight, including CARNET management and event equipment turnaround.
* Liaise with third-party providers to manage trackside installations and resolve technical issues.
* Attend operational meetings, manage minutes, and ensure smooth communication between teams and stakeholders.
Essential attributes for success:
* Proven ability to resolve 1st - 3rd line issues independently, including in remote or solo environments.
* Hands-on experience across a broad tech stack, including client/server hardware, Windows & Linux OS, storage, and applications.
* Solid understanding of networking (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN) and virtualisation technologies (VDI, containers).
* Working knowledge of infrastructure components, such as virtualisation, storage systems, and hardware troubleshooting.
