* Communication & Interaction: Help pupils develop social skills and support their unique communication methods.

* Sensory Management: Recognise sensory triggers and use "sensory breaks" or calming strategies to help pupils remain regulated.

* Individualised Learning: Assist in the delivery of EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) targets.

* Behavioural Support: Promote positive behaviour and use de-escalation techniques to support pupils during moments of distress.

* Collaboration: Work effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and therapy teams to support pupil progress.

* Safeguarding: Uphold safeguarding procedures and prioritise the wellbeing of all pupils at all times.

Requirements

* Experience: Previous experience working with children with ASD in a school or educational setting.

* Skills: A strong understanding of sensory processing needs and a proactive approach to learning support.

* Attributes: High levels of patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for SEN education.

* Communication: Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build rapport with neurodivergent learners.

* Compliance: Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
