Our client BAE Systems is currently seeking an Integration Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is based at the MISC Facility, Portsdown Hill, Portsmouth. This position involves hybrid arrangements, requiring you to be fully on-site. The duration of the contract is 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the UK MOD test and integration facility
* Testing new pieces of equipment to ensure functionality
* Maintaining the facility to ensure it is operational
* Overseeing GFE and servers owned by the MOD
* Installing firewalls and modifying networks
* Managing cabling requirements
* Applying patches and updates
* Monitoring server parametrics, including heat output
* Recalculating room changes based on parametric data
* Monitoring equipment, logging data, and analysing trends and patterns
Job Requirements:
* Experience in systems integration
* Knowledge of software integration
* Ability to maintain and manage a secure facility
* Proficiency in installing firewalls and modifying networks
* Strong analytical skills for monitoring, logging data, and identifying trends
