Applebough Education is currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in primary schools across West Bromwich. This role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential. The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: * Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs * Work with small groups to deliver targeted interventions * Support pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties * Assist the class teacher in adapting learning activities * Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and inclusion * Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development * Follow EHCPs and individual support plans The Ideal Candidate: * Has experience working with children and/or pupils with SEN * Is patient, caring, and committed to supporting children’s development * Can work effectively as part of a school team * Has good communication and behaviour-management skills * Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS * Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3) is desirable but not essential What Applebough Education Offers: * Opportunities to work in supportive primary school environments * Flexible placements: short-term, long-term, or temp-to-perm * Competitive daily pay rates * Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant * Access to training and CPD opportunities
