Summary
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at SYR Limited. This role is essential in managing our financial transactions and ensuring timely processing of invoices.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the posting of all inventory invoices, both Local and Imported.
* Responsible for all overhead invoice processing utilising available POs as necessary. This is to include obtaining all necessary invoice approvals using the relevant approval routes along with reconciling PO related costs to the goods received and service completion notes.
* Responsible for the reconciliation of supplier statements, resolving discrepancies and managing outstanding balances to include the escalation of persistent or unresolved issues as required.
* Prepare and manage payment runs ensuring accurate and timely payment to our suppliers.
* Assist with a monthly review of any outstanding accounts payable debit balances, locate invoices and liaise with all necessary stakeholders to clear these balances from the ledger in a timely manner
* To aid in the production of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the following areas:
* Prepayments – in conjunction with our Assistant Financial Accountant
* Accruals – in conjunction with our Assistant Financial Accountant
* Sundry Debtors / Deferred Income – in conjunction with our Assistant Financial Accountants (Supplier Rebates)
* Other Creditors – in conjunction with our Assistant Financial Accountant
* Timely completion of the APC's designated section of the statutory accounts
* Prepare for and participate in any AP related audit requirements.
* Look for efficiencies and improvements within the role to allow for personal, departmental and business growth.
Requirements
* Significant experience in an accounts payable role and finance environment.
* Full time on site, 35 hours per week.
* Must have a proactive approach to your workload
* Able to use your initiative in all areas to aid in problem solving
* Advanced Excel / MS Office ability
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Good communication (both oral and written)
* Team player
