You will be working for the roads department at one of the most prestigious organisations in Scotland, responsible for maintaining roads/public walkways across central Scotland. The team you will be a part of has over 60 staff and is based in Alloa, with years worth of projects & work booked in.
Your new role
To be considered for this role, you will have experience working with the following:
1. Extensive experience using a paver machine
2. Ride on Roller experience
3. Laying kerbs as part of a roads network
4. Hand spreading hot / cold materials
5. Can install signing & guarding to Chapter 8 standards
6. Working as a banksman to plant & machinery
7. Slabbing / mono block repairs
8. Drainage repairs
9. Have a strong health & safety mindset
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you wille from a roadworks background. However, we are willing to consider those with relevant groundwork experience from a construction background. Due to the nature of the work, you will need to have a valid UK Driving licence and be able to make your own way to the depot for an early start. A CSCS card is desired but not essential to be put forward.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered an ongoing contract with one of the largest employers in the area, receiving regular updates from your Hays consultant. You will be paid weekly and will have the option to build up accrued annual leave.
