School Crossing Patrols are needed at various locations throughout the City of Salford.
Working Hours: 8 hours 40 minutes a week, term time only.
Due to busy traffic across the city, it takes a special person to stop traffic to allow pedestrians to cross safely. School Crossing Patrols are highly valued by schools and communities.
About the Role
The role involves helping children and adults cross the road safely at designated locations when traveling to and from school. You will identify potential hazards near the crossing and educate children on road safety. You will also report any defects at the crossing to a Road Safety Officer, following health and safety guidelines.

* Willing to work in all weather conditions
* Approachable but assertive to ensure safety
* Physically able to stand outside for long periods
No previous experience is necessary; full training and uniform will be provided.

DBS Check: The role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, costing £49.50, deducted from your salary over four months. If you do not start employment, you will be invoiced for this amount.
