Job Description
* Provide strategic financial support to senior leaders, influencing decision-making and cost management.* Embed a culture of accountability, cost control, and productivity across supported directorates.* Lead on financial planning, budgeting, reforecasting, and cash flow submissions.* Deliver clear and insightful reporting, variance analysis, and performance interventions.* Review and challenge business cases and funding requests to ensure value for money.* Oversee financial controls, governance, and compliance with HM Treasury requirements.* Manage and develop a team of Finance Business Partners, supporting skills growth and knowledge sharing.* Drive consistent reporting methodologies and financial processes across the programme.
The Successful Applicant
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).* Proven track record in finance business partnering within a complex, large-scale environment, ideally infrastrucutre.* Knowledge of government accounting requirements (DEL/AME funding) highly desirable.* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.* Commercially astute, with the ability to identify and drive performance improvements.* Experience managing teams and delivering results to challenging deadlines.* Proficient in ERP systems, data analytics tools, and complex Excel modelling.
