We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Hilton Bournemouth in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of food production, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. As Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, manage staff, and ensure that our restaurant consistently meets guest expectations.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks and assistants, to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current trends while maintaining the restaurant's unique culinary identity.
Ensure all food production meets safety and hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste to maintain cost efficiency.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, presentation, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary to enhance productivity and quality.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a flair for creativity in food preparation.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
