About The Green The Green is a spacious, single-level home set around a green courtyard on the Ravenswood Estate, supporting eleven adults aged 30s to 70s with mild to severe neurodevelopmental disabilities, including learning disabilities, autism, and additional needs such as epilepsy and mental health conditions. The setting includes 13 self-contained flats, each with a bedroom, bathroom and drink-making facilities, centred around a communal hub with kitchen, lounges, dining area, laundry and TV spaces. Residents hold keys to their own flats and are supported to maintain as much independence as possible. People we support communicate in various ways, including spoken language, Makaton, PECS, and objects of reference. Several individuals have Positive Behaviour Support Plans, which youll follow with consistency and respect. Shifts are typically 07:0021:00, with waking night cover in place. The rota flexes around peoples routines and priorities. Youll be joining a calm, confident, and values-led team committed to Kindness, Respect, Belonging, and Empowerment. Your Day-to-Day Your role will be varied and active. Youll: Support people with cooking, cleaning, and daily routines in their own flats Encourage and enable independence through consistent support Assist with personal care and medication where needed Support social activities like cycling, walking, shopping, volunteering at the stables, music, and film nights Promote emotional wellbeing through consistent communication and support Be part of a team that values trust, respect and choice Experience, Qualifications & Training Essential: Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities or autism Confidence in promoting independent living and following support plans Able to commit to full-time hours, including weekends Desirable: Experience with epilepsy or mental health support Positive Behaviour Support or Active Support training Full, clean UK driving licence We also welcome people new to care with the right attitude.
