What will you be doing?
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Indirect Procurement Lead to manage and optimize the sourcing of non-production goods and services across its UK operations. This role is instrumental in executing the regional indirect procurement strategy, ensuring commercial value, operational alignment, and compliance with corporate standards. The position offers the opportunity to drive cross-functional collaboration, lead supplier negotiations, and support sustainability goals while working across multiple sites in a dynamic and complex environment.
Your main responsibilities will be:
* Execute regional procurement strategy for indirect categories across Wabtec's UK operations.
* Lead negotiations with UK-based suppliers for non-production goods and services (e.g., IT, facilities, office services).
* Drive procurement KPIs including cost savings, favorable payment terms, and supplier harmonization across UK sites.
* Manage supplier relationships locally, acting as the point of contact between vendors and Wabtec’s UK business units.
* Support ESG and sustainability goals, e.g., sourcing greener or more ethical service providers.
* Collaborate closely with Wabtec’s UK-based business teams (e.g., transportation, mining) to ensure procurement aligns with operational needs.
* Deliver operational excellence in purchasing processes and maintain compliance with corporate procurement policies.

Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
* Proven experience in indirect procurement, ideally within a complex, industrial, or multi-site organization.
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* Solid understanding of indirect categories (e.g., IT services, facilities, software, office services).
* Familiarity with supplier performance management and cost-saving methodologies.
* Experience working across cross-functional teams and European/matrixed environments.
* Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience.
