An opportunity has arisen for a full-time chef at Priory Hospital Burgess Hill. We require the successful candidate to be able to work Wednesday-Sunday, with days off in the week negotiable, from 9am-5pm.
Our chefs provide a high-quality service to our patients through the creation, presentation, and delivery of meals. Working within a senior capacity within the catering team, the successful candidate will assist with planning, preparation, and cooking of meals.
You will be responsible for following our company Health and Safety policies and procedures, monitoring quality, and ensuring high levels of service.
What we need from you?
* Numerate, literate, and qualified to NVQ2 or equivalent & basic qualification in food hygiene.
* Organizes and prioritizes own workload within established procedures.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to monitor costs and liaise with suppliers.
* Good organization and time management.
* Knowledge of specialized diets may be required (Dysphagia, Allergens, etc.).
* First-class customer service skills.
