Requirements for the Senior Healthcare Assistant (Residential Care):
* Have a Level 2 Health & Social Care, Level 3 is desirable
* Have previous care experience
About the Care Home:
This residential home is set in a Victorian house ideally located for all amenities and is easily accessed by public transport. There is easy access via a large front drive and ramp to the front door. Parking is limited, however, there is also some limited parking on the road.
The rear garden has a dementia design landscape comprising of a figure of eight pathway leading to many seating areas and sensory flower beds. The enclosed garden is accessible via French doors from the lounge and provides a safe and attractive outside area for residents and their visitors to enjoy.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Senior Healthcare Assistant (Residential):
The role will include overseeing and supporting the care team on duty and resident group, administering medication, completing and updating/reviewing care plans, providing all ADL's, supporting G.P rounds and other health professionals as required.
* Acting as a positive role model; provide effective supervision and guidance for the team; contribute towards their performance and professional development
* Communicating any concerns to senior management
* Ensuring the implementation of individual care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed
* Providing practical support and responsive care to residents who require assistance with personal care needs
* Observing and monitoring the wellbeing of residents, ensuring that any changes are referred and documented
* Monitoring and allocating work for HCAs
* Developing and maintaining a good professional relationship with residents, colleagues and visitors
* Undertake administration of medication training and administer medication to residents
