Overview
TOEX Lead Analyst (12 month secondment/FTC) (SEROCU) role at Thames Valley Police. This is a maternity leave cover, within the Targeting Organised Exploitation (TOEX) team of the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU).
The role involves managing, training and developing a team of analysts; quality assuring their work and developing skill profiles to deliver a professional analytical service. You will lead in identifying and protecting some of the most vulnerable in our society, and provide specialist analytical advice to investigating officers. You will also manage stakeholder relationships and coordinate regional responses to serious and organised crime in line with regional priorities and the delivery plan.
TOEX works on developments involving all types of exploitation of people, including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). This role may occasionally expose you to CSAM materials.
Responsibilities
* Manage, train and develop an analytical team; quality assure their work and develop skill profiles.
* Deliver a professional analytical service and lead in identifying and protecting vulnerable individuals.
* Provide specialist analytical advice to investigating officers and prioritise workloads according to regional priorities and delivery plans.
* Manage relationships with stakeholders and engage with partners to deliver regional coordination of responses to serious and organised crime.
* Apply appropriate analytical techniques and methodologies; produce strategic and tactical analytical reports and products.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant professional qualification and completion of recognised analysis training (e.g., NIAT, GIAT or other relevant analytical training).
* Experience in producing strategic and tactical analytical reports and products.
* Management training is desirable; opportunities for development are available.
* Flexibility with working hours to meet operational demands; occasional travel away from home may be required.
* UK Driving Licence is essential.
* Security vetting: ability to obtain and maintain DVSC (SC) level and other enhanced security checks.
