We are now seeking an inspiring leader, with a passion for special education to join our Senior Management Team, be dedicated, forward-thinking and help drive our vision of high achievement for every child.
The Role
As Deputy Headteacher, you will be a leading professional, acting as a bridge between strategic vision and classroom excellence. You will support the Headteacher in the professional leadership of the school, ensuring that the interests of our children and young people (CYP) remain at the heart of everything we do.
The role will initially be based at our site in Countesthorpe, having oversight of Seniors and the Thomas Estley unit, but have whole school responsibility as outlined in the job description.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Driving Standards: Leading the monitoring and evaluation of standards across the school with rigour and accountability.
2. Strategic Leadership: Formulating school aims and policies while analyzing performance data to set challenging targets.
3. Staff Development: Leading, coaching, and mentoring a motivated workforce to deliver high-quality special education.
4. Operational Management: Deputising for the Headteacher and ensuring the effective day-to-day management of the school.
5. Community Engagement: Strengthening links with parents and the wider community to enhance pupil outcomes.
About You
We are looking for an approachable, reflective leader who can work with autonomy and remain calm under pressure. The successful candidate will be a "co-operative problem solver" with a proven track record of leadership and a deep commitment to safeguarding.
Essential Criteria:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and evidence of recent professional development impact.
7. National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership.
8. Significant teaching experience and proven leadership abilities with demonstrable positive outcomes.
9. Expertise in line management, including a focus on staff well-being.
10. The ability to analyse data, raise standards through modeling, and build effective working relationships at all levels.
