Overview

Circa £68,000 per annum plus generous bonus scheme.

40 hours per week including rostered weekends and occasional night duties. Plus, emergency on-call duties shared with the home's management team.

Colten Care is recruiting for a Home Manager to manage staff and resources so each resident can enjoy a dignified and fulfilling life. You will work closely with your Clinical Lead and the wider healthcare and hospitality teams to ensure the quality of individual service and care consistently meets our high standards and those of external regulators.

Based at Woodpeckers, Brockenhurst.


Responsibilities

* Lead a vision for the home to ensure a philosophy of continuous improvement.
* Manage staff and resources, maintaining high standards of care.
* Coordinate with residents, families, professional contacts and multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Build and maintain community contacts, develop the home's profile and seize marketing opportunities in the local area.
* Support the regional Operations Manager and drive the home's journey to outstanding performance.


Qualifications

* Relevant care home management experience or a customer‑facing leadership role that includes managing people, budgets and building external relationships.
* Enjoyment of the marketing side of the role and relish the challenge of bringing in new business.
* Qualified Nurse preferred but not essential; supported by a Clinical Lead.
* A Level 5 diploma/NVQ qualification in Health and Social Care desirable.
* Business insurance essential due to travel during work hours.
* Strong values: friendly, kind, honest, reassuring; an effective leader and communicator.
