We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. As a vital part of our kitchen brigade, you will assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
* Support chefs in cooking and plating dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
* Participate in the daily setup and breakdown of kitchen stations.
* Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service periods.
* Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
* Previous kitchen experience or culinary training is preferred but not essential.
* Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in a restaurant setting.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
