Job Title: Maintenance Fitter
Our client is a leading manufacturer supplying the construction and residential sectors across the UK & Ireland. We are recruiting a Maintenance Fitter to carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient production. This is a Monday to Friday day shift position, offering an excellent opportunity for those seeking to avoid shift work. Overtime hours are paid at a premium rate.
Responsibilities
1. Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities.
2. Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs to minimize downtime.
3. Diagnose faults, resolve issues, and identify root causes.
4. Conduct planned maintenance and contribute to maintenance schedules.
5. Ensure compliance with company HSEQ standards and eliminate risks during maintenance.
6. Record maintenance activities using maintenance software.
7. Promote best practices in maintenance, quality, housekeeping, and H&S.
8. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all areas of the business.
Candidate Requirements
1. Level 3 qualified apprenticeship in Engineering or a similar qualification.
2. Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
3. Strong mechanical skills, including welding and fitting.
4. Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, and motors.
5. Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
