We are working with a well-established and reputable construction group, who is seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team. This is a rare start-from-scratch opportunity, ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, develop, and progress within a supportive environment.
This role sits within a business known for delivering high-quality civil engineering, groundworks, and infrastructure projects across the region. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced Quantity Surveyors and commercial managers, gaining hands-on exposure to live projects from day one.
Responsibilities
As a Junior QS, you will be supported to develop skills across the full project lifecycle, including:
Assisting with preparing, negotiating, and analysing costs for tenders and contracts
Supporting the measurement and valuation of works on site
Maintaining accurate records and assisting with monthly reporting
Helping prepare interim applications and final accounts
Conducting site visits to monitor progress and work alongside operational teams
Providing general commercial support across projects as required
Ensuring all work complies with company processes, health & safety, and industry standards
About You

You May Be
A recent graduate in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or
Currently studying part-time and looking for an employer to support your development or
A motivated individual with transferable skills who wants to retrain in a commercial construction role
You Will
Have strong numerical and analytical skills
Possess excellent communication and organisational abilities
Be proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Be confident using IT systems (Excel in particular)
Hold a full UK driving licence or learning to drive
