NHS Medical Receptionist/Administrator

Alpine House Surgery has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our very friendly and hardworking team.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Previous reception experience OR a friendly, kind and empathetic approach to patients.
* Previous experience in demonstrating excellent telephone and interpersonal skills.
* Friendly, polite and compassionate about patient care, whilst understanding the strict guidelines of confidentiality.
* The ability to work collaboratively as a team, both within the surgery and with external organisations.
* The ability to work well under pressure in a fast changing environment.
* An excellent eye for detail.
* The ability to follow protocols closely.
* Minimum GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English grade C
DESIRABLE SKILLS
* A knowledge of medical terminology.
* Knowledge of working with SystmOne computer system.
Applicants will need to be flexible to occasionally cover holidays and sickness if required.
HOURS OF WORK
Core hours of work:
7.45am - 6.30pm (Monday to Friday) - Exact days (full or half) to be agreed.
