Tasks and Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out AMHE equipment servicing in accordance with the quality standards and time schedules as set out in the equipment manuals
2. To undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices
3. Diagnosis of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / PLC / PC faults and subsequent repairs
4. Prioritise system faults
5. To comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times
6. To ensure quality of output at all times
7. To accurately record all work undertaken
8. Involvement in continuous improvement and sales opportunities
9. Maintain product flow at all times
10. To ensure on-site spares are kept to optimum levels
11. To represent the company in a professional manner at all times and maintain customer relations
12. To adhere to the Quality processes and procedures as set out by the company
In the absence of the Engineering Shift Manager:
13. Day to day management of a multi-disciplined and assistant engineering team
14. Delivery of key service elements such as planned preventative maintenance, fault rectification and fault eradication
15. Deliver written and verbal communications at all levels
16. Drive a structured process of continuous improvement
17. Fully interact with the customer in day to day activities
18. To fully embrace and ensure delivery of key staff processes:Team and individual attendanceStaff disciplineStaff development identified through Staff Dialogue (appraisal)
19. Monitor and steer third party support contracts to ensure delivery of key service KPI’s
20. Fully interact with other engineering team leaders to ensure consistency across shifts and best practice is shared
21. Monitor and maintain pre-agreed SLA’s
Qualifications & Experience:
22. ONC (or equivalent) minimum in Engineering
23. Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
24. A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings
25. Basic understanding of control systems and techniques
26. Basic understanding of PLC equipment
27. Working at height
28. Previous experience of working with various conveyor systems
29. PC literacy
30. Understanding of pre-preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules
31. Working knowledge of FEM and BS standards governing the automated warehouse industry
32. Apprenticeship served
33. Previous experience in team management / leading teams preferable
34. Health and Safety experience
35. Excellent IT skills
